Thought of the Week II

  • Mental mindstate: Unrelenting persiflage
  • In the CD player: A Rose By Any Other Name - Gerald Lavert
  • Other side of the window: Cold
  • How I feel: Emotional
A time has come forth once more.
When we pay homage to a past of forgottens
A future that is nebulously weaved by good intentions
And a present sewn by our moments

The winds of change will leaf through the pages of our lives with caresses of the unwarranted
But let it be kept, the flames of our knowledge and faith
As our essence goes beyond waters and ash
And a legacy that is our duty, branches beyond a finger or a tongue
For a form is only known only to this sky and earth
Remember we are more

When conversations with a gaze are meaningful in taciturn manners.
Smiles need not be preconceived by notions or depth
Clock-ward motions can make wastes of deeds
But life can be of kaleidoscopes and spectrums
For rocks of men can be chiseled by words and purpose.
For motions of women can be stilled by night and heart.
And our mirrors need not reciprocate what we have, have been, or have not

For an instant in time can be but a character of our totality
It need not be insurmountable
It need not be an obstruction
It need not be an end
But all can be but means

Malice, malpractice, malcontent, manipulation – can they not be overcome?
Overcome it by our gifts
Overcome it by our thoughts
Overcome it by our compass
For it is truest when it faces our north

It is a time once more to divulge ourselves as we were.
Be of good that is done, for a good done today, returns unwaveringly.
Be of gracious smiles, for it can be rendered back, often in kind.
Be of giving hands, for it is rarest of this world, when it is of warmth.

Time that has come is a season of festivities
Time that has come is a season of joy
Time that has come is a season of blessings
Time that has come is a season of giving
Remember your time is always in the season of moments
